Birds:
  • to report a dead bird: contact your county's local health department
    • only crows, blue jays, and raptors (hawks, falcons, and owls) will be tested
    • in some counties where the presence of West Nile in bird populations has already been firmly established, testing may not be performed; however, data on the presence of dead birds will be collected
